Cold Casts
Cold casted Topre keycaps. All keycaps are made using a 1:1 ratio by weight of resin and metal powders. Keycaps do not have any protective coating, thus may patina over time.
Powders are very dense, thus some variation from keycap to keycap is to be expected.
Burnished and Polished caps are both achieved in the same manner. Burnished Edges only sport a polished edge, whilst Polished caps are fully hand burnished to a glossy finish on all sides, edges, and even the skirt of the cap. No compounds are used to achieve this effect, thus are maintainable with just a polishing cloth or flash shiner. Some texture is retained, especially on the top face.
